3 Lessons From 2019 For 2020



Wow, I cannot believe that January 1st 2020 is next week Wednesday! I mean that is honestly crazy, this year feels like it has flown by, but looking back I realise I have grown so much as a person and so much has actually changed.


Today I wanted to share with you a few lessons and insights that I gained during 2019 and feel are important to carry on into the new year. So here are 3 Tips that will hopefully help you have a beautiful 2020!



1. Slow Down & Take Stock

This first tip is actually more for this time now, with reaching the end of the year, but it's also a great tip to carry on into the new year ahead. Slowing down and taking stock is so important as it allows us to reconnect and check back in with ourselves. I know that sometimes we can get so busy and caught up in life, especially during the holiday/festive season with so much going on, that we forget to take a step back and create a little space for ourselves. I really encourage you to take some time now, maybe over the weekend, just to sit and reflect on your year, on how you're feeling and how you want to feel in 2020. Nobody wants to go into a new year feeling heavy and drained so this is the perfect time to fill your cup up and charge your batteries.



2. Trust Your Gut

This is something I have truly learned to do this year, and that is to trust my gut. My intuition. In our modern lives we very often don't connect to our instincts. We push them aside and trust our logical brains more then our deep gut feelings. I want you to really start tapping into your intuition, if something doesn't feel right or sit right then maybe you need to change it. And vice versa, maybe you have a really good feeling about something but the people around you are telling your otherwise, don't let them change your decision, trust your gut and go for it!



3. What You Focus On, You Receive

This one might be a little obvious, but it is such an important mindset shift. We all hold and radiate energy and whatever we put our focus on we can attract. Its like manifestation, but the key is you really need to believe it. One of my favourite quotes is "Do Good, See Good", and basically that means that the more you focus on the good the more good you will see. So whether you're wanting to attract positive energy for the new year or maybe you have some specific goals, really put your intention to that and take actions to physically attract it. It could be only reading positive news or stories, it could be writing down your goals each day and believing that you will achieve them, it could be a positive affirmation, anything its all personal and up to you to find what feels right.
